CLEVELAND FACES CENTRAL OHIO FOR SECOND TIME IN THREE WEEKS

Lions vs. Lions Playoff Battle Set for October 8th
October 3, 2005
Mike Parris

The Cleveland Lions (11-0, 8-0 MCFL) will take on the Central Ohio Lions in a semifinal game of the Mid-Continental Football League playoffs. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm at John Marshall Field, Saturday October 8th.

The game will be a rematch of the regular season finale for both clubs. Cleveland earned a hard-fought 26-12 victory in that contest.

While Cleveland earned a first-round bye in the playoffs, Central Ohio battled the Indiana Mustangs Saturday night to determine who would move on to the semifinals. Central Ohio snuck past Indiana 27-24 for the right to face the reigning MCFL Champions. In the other first round matchup, the Kings Comets breezed past Southern Michigan 39-16 and will travel to Detroit to face the Seminoles in the other semifinal game.

Come out and support the Lions as they look repeat as champions!
